Caroline Age
Caroline age (1625-1649) falls between the Jacobean period and Commonwealth Period or Puritan age. Here, we can discuss the major authours and their works. The authors like Milton, George Herbert, Robert Herrick, the "Sons of Ben" and others write during the reign of Charles I and his Cavaliers. Here we have many more things to talk about. As we have seen the Elizabethan age as the golden age of English drama, the Caroline age is the golden age of poetry. here we have cavaliers poets including Sir John Suckling, Thomas Carew, Richard Lovelace and others. However, Metaphysical poetry cannot be kept aside, chronically it also comes in the very age.
